Food is medicine, have you heard? As a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner, we connect the dots between your nutrition, physical movement, stress, sleep, relationships and support systems. Genetics and family history are part of your story, too.

Why are diet and lifestyle so important?

Just like growing a plant, your health and performance are greatly influenced by the resources you put in to your body and the ones you don’t! The soil at the roots needs the right mix and maintenance. Sleep, stress resilience, relationships, physical activity, and hydration all affect your biochemistry at the cellular level and your ability to thrive.

How does your 1-on-1 coaching work?

Your customized wellness plan is designed to heal your body and invigorate your training program. I look at your Nutrition and Lifestyle Assessment, lab work and food journal to create a roadmap that addresses your top priorities. Optional meal plans and recipe books help you implement changes successfully. Each appointment celebrates wins and adjusts your action steps based on what’s working and what’s not. I’m here to support you in between appointments with unlimited emails and questions.

Do I have to follow a meal plan?

Choose between following a structured meal plan or use my customized recipes to get more nutrients in your body. We’ll agree on a protocol that feels doable. Popular options include Elimination and Reintroduction, Clean Eating/Whole Food, Paleo, Autoimmune Paleo, Whole Food Keto, Low-Glycemic, and Family Friendly!

Which program is best for me?

  • Have general questions or need guidance on your doctor’s suggested health changes? The Healthy Start power session provides feedback and answers to your general health, nutrition or lifestyle questions.
    $175/45-Minute Session

  • Need to reboot your body or have specific goals you’re working toward? The Repair Shop is a personalized program. Improvements happen at the cellular level and may require time and consistency to see results. Mindset and mental support, sleep, stress, hydration, and physical activity are part of the process. I’m your coach: I listen, guide and hold you accountable. My philosophy is solutions-focused. If you’re ready to take action, let’s do this.
    $100-$450/session

How quickly will I see results?

If you have significant challenges or are living a high-stress, convenience lifestyle, then you should know this isn’t a quick fix. I do have a magic wand but that’s reserved for my kids!

  • Every program includes rapid relief solutions that you can get started on right away.

  • Dietary changes can take 4 weeks or more to see noticeable changes depending on your goals.

  • In the Repair Shop, appointments are every 2-4 weeks so you have time to make adjustments and see if they’re working. Bigger issues may require weeks or months to improve and less frequent check-ins often work well after the initial period.

How does health coaching help me succeed?

When was the last time you spent 45 minutes with your doctor? If you are working with a concierge physician, you know how amazing that personal attention feels. Most practitioners would love to spend more time providing solutions other than medication, but our current medical model isn’t set up for this. Health coaches empower you to take charge of your health by supporting your practitioner’s plan with good food and good living. We help you understand why your body isn’t performing and connect you with tools and resources to make lifestyle improvements easier for you. Mindset and motivational coaching is part of the process so you learn how to find solutions and resolve challenges when they arise. Accountability is vital to your success — we agree on action steps and check on your progress at each appointment. These are empowering skills you’ll use for life.

My life is crazy. Will this work for me?

My programs always consider your environment — whether that’s your office break room or your family dinner table — because you live in the real world, right? You’ll learn how to succeed in those situations and guess what, those around you may even get inspired to join you!

Do you accept insurance or HSA/FSA cards? Yes!

I do not file insurance but can provide an invoice you can submit for insurance reimbursement. Typically this would be out-of-network and your deductible would factor in. My client platform, Healthie, accepts HSA/FSA credit cards. My services are an investment in your health today and your future longevity. According to Women’s Health Magazine, being overweight costs $524/year, cardiovascular disease about $19,000 in medical care each year, and type 2 diabetes $125,000 over your lifetime!
